This combination makes a tough blade and it has superior edge holding quality. Brian Lyttle does not use any mild steel of any kind in his Damascus steel, nor does he use straight nickel, except in material which is to be used for decorative purposes only. (Back to top)
Brian Lyttle conducts hands-on workshops for beginner to experienced makers on Damascus Steel production, heat-treating, and knife design and construction.
